In the Middle Ages, Torture was a widely known punishment for almost all crimes committed, ranging from theft to murder, and above all for heresy. The type of punishment depended on the victim’s crime and social status. This is your chance to wonder past the spine chilling stories, pictures and artifacts telling the story of medieval torture.

The Medieval Torture Museum displays over one hundred devices used to torture people during medieval times. This unique collection, recreated by pictures, drawings and artifacts, serves as a grim reminder of how poorly humans can treat one another. As you look at the devices and read about how they were used, you’ll cringe… you will leave thankfull to know that we have evolved a little since the dark ages.

 

At the end of the tour, you are welcome to take place at the Fashionable Bar, and enjoy a drink.
