This five day mini cruise leads you to the most beautiful cities and through the most attractive areas in the "Garden of Amsterdam". These short journeys in late summer offer you an excellent opportunity to visit the most beautiful high points in and around the capital of the Netherlands in a very relaxed way, on board a comfortable ship.

Numerous museums and shops entice you in Amsterdam, the "smallest metropolis in Europe", and the canals which quite recently came onto the UNESCO world heritage list are famous all over the world. You visit the historical city of Haarlem, the open-air museum Zaanse Schans with wind mills and a cheese farm, the cheese city Alkmaar and the picturesque small town with a harbour, Volendam am IJsselmeer. The 50 meter long MS Magnifique has a beautiful salon with a huge bar.

Meals are served to you daily in the restaurant area. Both sun decks are particularly attractive with chairs and a small whirlpool from which you can enjoy the river landscapes which are slowly passing by. The German-speaking courier takes care of everything: a number of excursions on land & guided tours in the towns are included. Bicycles are available on board for short excursions or longer tours. The cruise program: Amsterdam - Haarlem - Zaanse Schans - Alkmaar - Volendam - Amsterdam.

Your ship is 49 meters long, can accommodate 22 to max. 32 guests, sails under Dutch flag and management and is completely modernized in 2009/2010. On the lower deck are a total of 12 cabins: 6 twin cabins (2 single beds next to each other), 2 smaller twin cabins (2 single beds), 2 junior- suites (2 single beds next to each other), 2 single cabins; all cabins have portholes (min. 1 porthole can be opened), shower + toilet, individually regulated air conditioning, flat screen TV with SAT-reception; if requested, an extra bed is available in almost every twin cabins (above one of the other beds). On the upper deck there are a tasteful furnished salon with restaurant, bar, lounge with wide screen TV and large windows. Partly covered teak wooden sun deck with deck chairs, tables and recliners, whirlpool on the afterdeck & cycle shed.

Day 1: Arrival and embarkation in Amsterdam | In the evening: Amsterdam - Haarlem In the afternoon from 14:00 embarkation in Amsterdam, Veemkade. From about 17:00 a “dinner cruise“ to Haarlem. A stroll around the city in the evening through the historic old city of Haarlem.

Day 2: Haarlem - Zaanse Schans | In the afternoon: Zaandam - Alkmaar  

A cruise by ship to the open-air museum "Zaanse Schans" (incl.) with its beautiful wind mills, old Dutch village, cheese farm and  traditional wooden clogs maker. You then move in the afternoon to Alkmaar for a short stroll around the town there.

Day 3: Cruise by ship Alkmaar - Amsterdam - Volendam  

After breakfast you travel by ship from Alkmaar through the Polder land of the Province of Northern Holland and over the IJsselmeer to the fishing village of Volendam, and subsequently a short stroll around the town (included). In the harbour enjoy the smoked eel "Paling" or the salted herring "Matjes".

Day 4: Volendam - Amsterdam  

You travel by ship over the IJsselmeer back to Amsterdam. In the evening: there is an opportunity to take a trip together on the canals.

Day 5: Amsterdam  

After breakfast: disembarkation by 10:00 and the end of the trip.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation by the Customer, the following percentages shall be due:
- more than 84 days prior to sailing 10%
- (incl.) 84 to 42 days prior to sailing 30%
- (incl.) 42 to 28 days prior to sailing 60%
- (incl. 28 to (incl.) 1 day(s) prior to sailing 90%
- day of embarkation (no show) or later 100%

Cancellation costs in % of the tour price (agreement).

Cancellation must be made by fax, with receipt to be confirmed by Supplier, or by registered mail. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt by the Supplier.

Departs

September 29th and October the 3rd, 7th, 11th, 15th, 19th, 23rd and the 27th.

Pickup/Departure

from Amsterdam, Veemkade (near the Central Station)

Drop-Off

Return to the original point of departure.
