Duration: 8 hours
The excursion begins with a visit to the biggest Flower Auction in the world, right outside of Amsterdam. In weekends, when it's closed, you'll visit a clog factory instead.
After this, you'll continue to Rotterdam, the second largest city of the Netherlands. As its city center was all rebuilt after the German Luftwaffe's bombings in World War II, it's characterized by its contemporary and fascinating architecture. Rotterdam's harbor, among the largest and busiest in the world, constitutes an indispensable gateway to Europe.
The next stop is at the picturesque town of Delft. During your visit to the Delft Blue Pottery Factory, you'll learn about the historical developments of these ceramic techniques and about the sinuous way they made from China to Europe.
From Delft you drive to The Hague. Even though the city - the third largest in The Netherlands - is not the capital, the Dutch government is established there. Moreover, Queen Beatrix resides and works there. The foreign embassies are situated in The Hague a well and it houses the International Court of Justice and the International Crime Court. After this visit we will move on to Madurodam, Holland in miniature.
