Duration: 7 hours
This tour covers the magnificent area of the Dutch polder landscape north of Amsterdam marked by windmills, dikes and ditches.
After a stop to taste some traditionally made products at a cheese farm, we will visit the picturesque villages of Edam and the Zaanse Schans, where you will have the opportunity to visit a windmill and wooden shoe factory.
We continue to Volendam and Marken, fishermens villages along the former Zuiderzee. Marken was originally an island, which is now linked to the mainland by a dike. Some people of both places still wear the traditional costumes.
In summertime, on Wednesdays and Sundays this tour is extended 1 hour with a drive to the Enclosing Dike.
Price adults: 43 euros per person
