Today's first destination is Haarlem, hometown of the famous Dutch painter Frans Hals. The borough of Harlem in New York owes its name to this beautiful Dutch town. The tour starts with a guided walk through the medieval heart of the city. After holding on at some of the little inner courtyards, you reach the 'Grote Markt' or Market Square. It is dominated by the 14th century gothic St Bavo Church, which is listed on The Netherlands' top 100 UNESCO monuments. Opposite the church is the 17th century 'Vleeshal' or Meat Hall that functions today as an exhibition space.   

Our coach drives you from Haarlem to the Keukenhof on a chromatically scenic route through the extended flower fields. The Keukenhof constitutes the world's largest display of flowers. It contains over 700 kinds of tulips, orchids, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses and many other species. More than 7 million flowers bloom on this 32 hectares land each year.
